We go way back with Matero Level 1 Hospital. During COVID, they had our backs — testing our team and supporting us through every tough stretch, all while looking after the same community our stores call home.

So this year, we got to return favour. The pediatric ward needed to feel less like a hospital and more like somewhere a child could heal. We brought in hygiene packs for every admitted child, a pile of toys, and laid down a carpet to turn one corner into a proper little play space.

Because a child heals better when there's room to smile, something to hold and a soft place to play. That's all we wanted, to bring a little joy and comfort to kids when they need it most. At PEP, showing up for the communities that support us is who we are
